Great read.....I wish the new head of DNC would spend some money on attack videos...moving billboards...anything....something !! He's so invisible, I honestly don't even remember his name !!!
Let's follow Bernie Sanders playbook. We must connect with people where they are. That's hard to do because many in the MAGAsphere are 'low informacion' voters with hateful opinions - but some people have got the knack. One of the things I so admire about Sanders is his message discipline
One cannot save ANY department if we don't save our country from a takeover. I read a comment stating, "The problem is the two party system.". To which I responded, "THAT is the current problem - the idea that you don't vote because you don't have YOUR choice. Do you not see that demanding more, and not voting because you don't get what you want is the problem? Do you not see that as a spoiled child POV? Do you not see that sowing the seeds of contentiousness and contemptuous discourse is what we are where we are? Do you not see that "I WANT MORE, or I'm not going to vote" got us here, with TFG, twice, and TFG will be the undoing of our democracy as we know it? Stop the ongoing persistence that you not voting will "own the Democratic Party", because it's not. It's DESTROYING our country, and YOU have picked the wrong hill you die on! We are screwed as a whole because your protest vote was more important than your love for your country".
When you say the Dems need message unity, does that imply they should all be saying the same thing or just that they should all stay within the same area of attack? Because it seems like they spend far too long trying to come up with a response and they lose out of the speed of the media cycle. No one seems to give a damn when the right just says whatever they want and see what sticks and then go with that. I don't see why the left can't give that a try.
Where have you been Keith? I haven’t heard from you in awhile. Don’t forget me. Your messages give me hope and perseverance. Great column and I’ve already taken your stand on this. You are so right.
When Trump won, I immediately purchased an oval FDT bumper sticker and placed square in the middle of the rear window of my car (not down on the bumper because I didn't want to risk someone not seeing it). There were more explicit stickers I could've bought (that spell out what FDT stands for) but I didn't think it was appropriate for small children to see. So I went with the FDT sticker instead. I love it when people ask me what it means as it gives me the opportunity I relish...and that is to say, loud and proud, EXACTLY what it means. You go Keith!
10000000% correct. Democrats are awful when it comes to a unified messaging; it is too intellectualized and we need to speak to people in ways that are simple and can resonate. The blame game needs to be laser focused on Trump. "Lets Go Brandon" is over and its time for Let's Fuck Trump!!!
You all are so full of it. Not once did Democrats show any amount of decency and respectability. Especially not towards those who voted Trump, third party, or for other candidates.
In fact, they doubled down on their bigotry and classism. Hence, the slight at "finding common ground". Which is not about Trump, but about your arrogant disdain for anyone who isn't wholly reliant about gaining their views and satiating their appetite of needing to be fed comfortable lies by a corporate media and entertainment media, of all its forms, that has never been conservative, Republican-leaning in any manner. That is, despite your progressive gripes that it is whenever their propagandizing falls flat.
Yes, yes, yes!
"... Democrats must adopt a tactic that Republicans have long practiced: blaming the party in power for everything.
The difference is, of course, the blame is very much warranted."

"Message discipline"
Among a list of many things Dems inexcusably still can't figure out, this is among the most inexcusable...and infuriating.
Outstanding. GOP goobers are going to twist themselves in knots trying to blame Biden lol. That ship has sailed.

I will do this. Thank you so much.
